The SmartLF SG  Series 36″ and 44″ scanners are perfect for capturing sharply defined detail on technical drawings and maps as well as the vibrant, accurate colors needed by graphics professionals.
SmartLF SG Series large format scanners have all the advantages of CCD technology’s superior color imaging – the ability to scan a wide gamut (range of colours) and a high dynamic range (ability to see detail in dark and light areas) – combined with 1200 dpi optical resolution, the highest optical resolution available in any CCD wide format scanner in the market today. SmartLF SG scanners use the advanced SureDrive paper transport system to maintain accurate document positioning as the document passes through the scanner. Combining this with the ClearView bright white bi-directional LED illumination system ensures that with SG even folded documents scan accurately and as shadow-free as possible.
Images are scanned using 48-bits (color) or 16-bits (monochrome), with the best 24 and 8-bits selected as image data respectively.

Colortrac SmartLF SC Xpress Series is now even faster for everyday scanning tasks. At 200 dpi the paper speed has been doubled which means that an A0 / E size document scanned in 24-bit colour now scans at a full 12 inches per second, very nearly the same speed as a monochrome scan. At 300 dpi the speed has also been doubled. Scan speeds at higher dpis are not affected. This performance requires a USB3 enabled computer connection. For USB2 connections these speeds will be halved.

Larger Document Staging Area
The new design incorporates a larger face-upstaging platform to make loading documents into the scanner faster and easier. SC 42 Xpress is the first Colortrac scanner designed specifically to auto-size documents face-up in the centre of the scanner, a change which helps the operator to see what they are scanning and also to load creased documents more effectively. For documents conforming to standard drawing sheet sizes (manual mode) the scanner can accept media side & center using SmartWorks Pro or at the side only using the SmartWorks TOUCH software. An included magnetic paper guide accessory can be used to maximise side margin accuracy where required.  With a straight-through paper path the SC 42 Xpress has a maximum media width of 44” (1117mm) and scans documents and maps up to 0.08″ (2 mm) in thickness. This is more than enough to meet the requirements of AEC, CAD, GIS and the majority of work done by copyshop or service bureaux.
